The Presence of Brian Wilson Will be Missed

News came down on Saturday and it was not very good: an MRI right elbow Brian Wilson revealed structural damage to the starter of the season in jeopardy.

San Francisco Giants will close one or two other opinions, but if they move to their second surgery Tommy John - he was the one playing in college for LSU - it is not surprising. Wilson said that he would often throw as hard as he can, until his arm falls off, well, it seems, this time finally arrived.

This is a huge loss for the Giants, of course. ESPN Steve Berthiaume points indicates that Wilson has recorded 164 saves since becoming a full time team closer in 2008, two more than Mariano Rivera. He was the leader of the team in the 2010 title of World Series, intense presence, which appear in the ninth inning to record a 48-key MLB games this season. Wilson has been used successfully in the spotlight in October to become one of the most recognizable baseball (that marks the beard, of course). His antics provided the perfect fodder for the Big League Stew on more than one occasion, when he was put to the ESPYs to stop, angering the enemy with Taco Bell advertising or blow innocent water coolers.

(A few favorites while we are at: Wilson, dressed as a sea captain, a new air slogans, paying tribute to his late father with a record gift of the Air Force, raging with YouTube Star, Keenan Cahill and complaints about his drawing distracting orange shoes. )

The flow of pleasure comes to an end, however, if the worst fears were confirmed. The same goes from San Francisco to show off body without any problems. Wilson is only 30 and still a lot of time to return, but the history of pitchers return from Tommy John surgery second is less than encouraging. I know some people do not enjoy watching Brian Wilson on the field and outside it, as some of us, but it's still sad to see the entertainment during the baseball off its path.
