Presidents Day: What's Open, What's Closed

Did you know that today, Presidents Day?

Formerly known as George Washington's Birthday, Presidents' Day celebrated on the third Monday in February and is considered a federal holiday.

Many state and federal offices are closed today. In Waukee, all city offices are closed in observance of the holiday. Although, Waukee City Council meets usually on the first and third Monday of the month, the council will not meet today. A meeting has been rescheduled for February 27 at 17:30

Today, it is also a postal holiday, which means that there is no mail delivery today. Delivery will be resumed tomorrow.

There is no delay on the day of garbage collection. Pick-up, as expected.

Students in the School District Waukee class today. There is no early release, because the party.

Waukee Public Library remains closed today on the occasion of prezidentov.Biblioteka will be opened on Tuesday at 9:30 am

According to the Iowa Bankers Association, about 87 percent of Iowa banks will be closed today, although some banks will remain open in the Waukee.Nizhe is a list of banks and their hours of Waukee, if it is open today.

Community State Bank - open - drive-up, 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; lobby, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
First American Bank - open - drive- up, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; lobby, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wells Fargo - open - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
