George Clooney Was Arrested in Protest at Sudan Embassy: George Clooney and his father were arrested Friday during a demonstration outside the Sudanese Embassy, ​​and the actor says he has asked President Barack Obama to China to stop the humanitarian crisis in North Africa.

"It's amazing to sit with a world leader who knows the intricacies of what is happening in Sudan," he said.

The actor said that he asked Obama to bring China to push for a more in Sudan. He said that world leaders should "follow the money" flowing into the Sudanese leaders to denounce corruption.

"This is a time when we have a chance to do something, because if we do not, within three or four months will be a humanitarian catastrophe," said Clooney before his arrest.

"It is foolish to think thoughts that you succeed in this," he said. "But if it is strong enough and you'll be hard enough to do, people will know less, and you can not say we did not know. This is the first step."
